What do you like best about working at the port
The environment of working on a big international port and that no day is ever the same.

Best day?
Undertaking a big project in the Ferry Terminal like the instalment of the escalators and finally seeing the results after months of planning.

What did you do before your
current role?
Studied Engineering Operations at college alongside a part time job.

Describe your role at Harwich International Port:
I oversee Mechanical / Electrical Projects on the Port which can include anything from lifts, air conditioning units, fire systems and even jobs regarding the high-voltage electrical network.

What is the biggest challenge of your job?
When overseeing projects there is always the challenge of communicating between departments to keep everyone in the loop aware of ongoing works.

What do you find most satisfying about your role?
Resolving issues around the Port and seeing a positive outcome which benefits the Port.
