What did you do before your
current role?
Assistant Manager in a large Co-op; I started stacking shelves whilst still at school and worked my way up.

Describe your role at Harwich International Port:
I am a port operator in one of the ship teams whose primary role is the unloading and loading of trailers from Stena Line ships amongst other roles around the port.

What is the biggest challenge of your job?
When a ship arrives late the turnaround time is reduced, our aim is to put the ship back on time to keep our customers happy.

What do you find most satisfying about your role?
Training someone new and watching them fulfil their role in a safe and efficient manner.
